The Board of Visitors is a group of advocates striving to enhance its reputation both nationally and internationally. Hailing from diverse backgrounds, these board members utilize their unique skills and connections to serve as ambassadors and strategic partners. They work on boosting our department’s visibility among businesses, the general public, alumni, and UT administration. As part of their mission, they actively seek funding opportunities that can fuel new initiatives and short-term projects. Always with an eye toward the future, they assist in formulating long-term development plans that will advance the department further. Moreover, they help foster relationships with businesses and government labs, paving the way for contractual agreements and internships that benefit our students. Through these concerted efforts, they play an integral role in uplifting the overall prestige and functionality of the University of Tennessee’s Mathematics Department.
