Joseph Lopez
ADDRESS
Joseph Lopez
Lecturer
Joe recently graduated with his Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi. His research was about constructing counterexamples. He constructed a counterexample showing there are examples of Lagrangian correspondences that cannot be written as repeated composition of another Lagrangian correspondence with itself. He also showed that for a given circle map, you can find another circle map in which there is no Lipshitz conjugacy between them. Joe normally starts his morning with running and lifting weights. When Joe is not enjoying his true passion of teaching, working with students, or engaging in mathematics, he is crocheting, writing my books, gaming, or looking for a good restaurant to eat at. In addition to sleep and naps, he also enjoys spending time with his closest friends whether it be in person or over the phone/video chat.
