Shuai Jiang

Teaching Assistant Professor

Dr. Jiang primary research focus lies in affine Schubert calculus, which emerges as an extension and generalization of classical Schubert calculus.

This area delves into questions like determining the number of lines intersecting four lines in three-dimensional space, a classic problem in classical Schubert calculus.

He employs a multidisciplinary approach that draws upon tools from algebraic geometry, combinatorics, and representation theory.

In addition to his research endeavors, he is deeply passionate about teaching mathematics at all levels. His teaching philosophy centers on empowering each student to actively participate in class discussions, fueling their curiosity, and inspiring a holistic understanding of the subject matter.
