UT freshman and sophomore students are invited to join the Math Honors Program if they are near the top of their class in Math 300, Introduction to Abstract Math (or Honors 307).

For mathematically talented incoming first-year students, we recommend taking Math 300 in the spring of their first year.  This will allow students to benefit from 3 years of participation in the Math Honors Program.
